Monthly Meetings

We hold a meeting with refreshments and a speaker, free for all members, in the Palmer Hall on the first Tuesday of each month except August. The doors open at 2pm and the meeting starts at 2.30pm.

A report on each month’s talk is published in the newsletter.

Members with carers are welcome to be accompanied by their carer at no additional charge.

Guests who attend should bring £1 in cash, as we do not have a cash float or change.

Tuesday 2 September 2025. Al Sylvester. Experiences Serving with the RAF Mountain Rescue Service

Al will share his life-saving experiences of serving 2 decades with the RAF Mountain Rescue Service. He will describe the history, the relentless training, and strenuous operations of one of the RAF’s only 24/7 all-weather emergency services.
